CATHERINE AWAI, B Ed, Dip Ed,
CHTP/I is a member of the management team at Naramata
Centre. In her role as Director of the Healing Pathway, a spiritually
based healing touch program, she teaches and works with instructors
and practitioners. She practices Healing Touch on behalf of the
Centre and in her private practice. Catherine is a certified
practitioner and instructor with Healing Touch International.
She has a broad range of experience as an educator in a variety
of situations and brings a passion for people and a commitment
to making a difference to this work
JEANNE BALCOM, RN, CHTP/I has
33 years of hospital based nursing from critical care to nursing
supervisor experience. Her search for a holistic nursing model
led her to embrace the Healing Touch Program. This has become
an integral part of her nursing care. Jeanne is commited to promoting
the Healing Touch Program within the health care system and enjoys
presenting its benefits at various provincial and national conferences.
She has a private practice in Healing Touch, and continues to
work as an Oncology nurse. Jeanne supports and organizes ongoing
activities for the Healing Touch Community and for the hospital
employees of Southeastern N.B. She volunteers her time as a facilitator
for the Canadian Cancer Society.
JEANNE BALCOM, Inf., CHTP/Instructrice,
est une infirmière diplômée depuis 1973 avec
une experience divers en soins infirmiers. Elle étudie
le programme de Healing Touch depuis 2002 et sa mission est de
voir lintégration de ce programme au sein du système
de santé vu son approche holistique, non invasif, économique
et éfficace. Mme Balcom est impliquée aux activitées
pour le mieux dêtre des employées, et elle
a été conférencière invitée
a plusieur conférences au niveau provincial et national.
Elle travaille présentement en oncologie et développe
sa pratique privée de Healing Touch. Jeanne supporte et
organise beaucoup dactivitées relié au Healing
Touch ainsi quagir comme mentor. Elle agit comme animatrice
pour le groupe support de la Société canadienne
du cancer.
MARILYN BLAIR, RN, CHTP/I
works in a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit in Prince George and integrates
Healing Touch therapies into her care in the hospital and in
her private practice at home. She has completed Level One of
the Canadian Holistic Nursing Specialty Course and serves as
a resource person in her community.
LIZ DUFF, BAand BEd, CHTP/I s
from St. John's, and has been involved in the Healing Touch program
since October 1992. She has a private practice in Healing Touch,
working primarily with those interested in mind-body-spirit healing.
In 1995, Liz became a certified instructor in the Healing Touch
Program and has taught Level 1 in several provinces in Canada,
the United States and Australia. Liz is presently teaching high
school at the junior and senior level.
ALEXANDRA JONSSON, RN, BScN,
CHTP/I is a nurse in private practice offering counselling,
stress management and Healing Touch therapies. A certified practitioner
and instructor with Healing Touch International, Alexandra has
been teaching energy concepts, stress management and meditation
since 1978. Her hospital background includes psychiatric and
emergency room nursing. Alexandra speaks and teaches nationally
and internationally. A long standing volunteer with the Toronto
People with AIDs Foundation and the AIDS committee of Toronto.
Alexandra is the President of Healing Touch Canada. She acted
as a primary force in bringing the Healing Touch programme to
Canada.
MARGUERITE LANGLEY, RN, MA, CHTP/I,
RTTP/T has been engaged in energy based Palliative Care Nursing
and Teaching for the past 16 years. Since 1999, Marguerite also
loves being a Case Manager on The Dorothy Ley Hospice team in
Etobicoke.
CINDY PALAJAC, Hon BA, Dip Ed, CHTP/I has
had a thirst for knowledge in energy work since 1987. She has
training in Reflexology, Healing Touch, Guided Imagery and Meditation.
The positive results from these energy-based therapies propelled
her to study further. Presently, Cindy works as a Personal Trainer
at a Fitness Club and has a private practice in Healing Touch
and Alternative Therapies. Cindy is an active member of the healing
touch community and enjoys serving as a resource.
BEVERLEY WORBETS, RN, BA, CHTP/I is
a holistic nurse practitioner, who has nursed both nationally
and internationally for over 30 years in a variety of settings.
She incorporates her Healing Touch expertise in the hospital,
her private practice and her volunteer work with seniors and
palliative care. Beverley is keen and committed to facilitating
health and healing.
AVA ZARITZKY, MSW, CSW, CHTP/I has
worked in the field of medical and psychiatric social work since
1978. Her interests lie in supporting people to make change in
their lives, and she believes that healing can be "light
hearted". Ava has a private Healing Touch practice and enjoys
working with people of all ages and varied cultures. She is also
pleased to have offered the first "Healing Touch for Couples"
course in 1998. She hopes to continue to bring the gift of Healing
Touch to interested students around the world. |
